This question was considered by the Wireless Sub-Committee at their Twenty-first Meeting on the 19th April, 1920, when the Sub-Committee agreed:-

(a) That Mr. Melville Smith's application should

be granted but that the power used should not be more than 10 watts, unless he could show good cause for the use of higher power.

(b) That the applicant must comply with the rules laid down for experimental wireless licencees in this country, including the provision that received signals should be used for experi- mental purposes only.

This recommendation of the Wireless Sub- Committee has been approved by the Imperial Communi. cations ommittee,
